I took a Past Life Workshop with Laurie Johnson the other day. It was really insightful. She’s not only a great reader but a very good teacher. She gave a lot of good useful information and also went through a guided meditation.

During class,  she mentioned, that we are drawn to things because of a past life. Even though I’ve read this before, it didn’t resonate or make much sense as when she explained it.  It made me think back to the early nineteen nineties when I met my husband. I was hanging out at the Brown Derby in Los Angeles. It no longer exists but during the big band era and in the 90′s when bands like Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Royal Crown Revue brought back swing, the Derby was the place to hang out. I thought back to the times we danced. If we are drawn to places because of past lives, then it could possibly be that everyone there were reliving a time we once knew and loved. A time when dancing was rebellious in some manner and music made us feel so good, not realizing we were there once before. Together we were reliving something we once did, possibly even together at the same time, maybe even together again.  Makes that moment much more special and interesting.

The guided meditation was great. It brought me back to the islands. I’ve always had this need to dance the Hula or Polynesian dancing. My mother taught it when I was young, and I danced it for several years here. But, when I think of dancing I always think of Hula.  Let’s see if this adventure takes me there.
